XB1134 - chests2

I learned a valuable lesson this week, to double, even triple save all of my work, I lost the files for the chests shown in the below images and so had to start again, I still made the deadline and in my own opinion the extra practice allowed me to come out with something much closer to satisfactory, the final chests are shown below.

these chests are based on the World Of Warcraft MMO by Blizzard, the chests are based on the two factions, the Alliance, and the Horde.

1.
the first chest is based on the Alliance and I tried to stick to the alliances general colour scheme and feel, the orangey browns and light metals along with the blue and gold found in the logo are commonplace around any alliance city or town. in comparison to the old chest I exaggerated shapes and colours much more in the new one. this was to keep more with the style of WOW.

2.
the second chest is based on the Horde, as with the one above I tried to stick to the colour scheme of the horde, the murky green and dark blue-ish metals, but most importantly the tattered banner on the front is very symbolic of the horde, it can be found in any place occupied by horde forces and I wanted to try to convey it in this piece, it also allowed me to practice with using transparency in texture with 3DS-Max
